Like I said in my post on the previous page you can use an internet browser and view the lodestone if you run the game through Steam. In fact I am posting on here using the overlay browser while logged in right now while the game is full-screen.
I love playing FFXIV in full-screen ... and now I find out there's a program that let's you play it full-screen while browsing the net? Awesome let me download it! .... *Searching internet for steam* Hm ... steam is the technical term for invisible water vapor ... doesn't looked very downloadable to me ... think you can supply a link to the software? ^^

This is why I haven't played in a week and am seriously considering leaving the game. This shouldn't be hard to begin with. The problems with this game are far beyond game mechanics if this is a "very hard thing to do". I literally cannot think of something that should be easier to implement than this... maybe reskins?
The reason why everything is so hard to implement or change is because Tanaka, in his infinite wisdom, developed the game's content and features alongside the game's engine, instead of using a finished engine or simply not starting development until Crystal Tools was done. You're looking at Square Enix's Duke Nukem Forever here. This is why I haven't played in a week and am seriously considering leaving the game. This shouldn't be hard to begin with. Aye. Unfortunately that is what I was referring to originally. I don't think that the programmers are incompetent, I think that the core coding of the game (not necessarily the game's mechanics) is severely inflexible to the point where implementing simple changes makes things unnecessarily difficult. It's important to have tools that make the game more malleable on the fly (from a programming perspective) when making an MMO (something that is made to constantly change, hence the justification for the monthly fee). It is to that degree that I find them incompetent. Whoever originally coded the game in that fashion. The reason why everything is so hard to implement or change is because Tanaka, in his infinite wisdom, developed the game's content and features alongside the game's engine, instead of using a finished engine or simply not starting development until Crystal Tools was done. It's a bit unfair of me to have such a position as I'm not a programmer, nor am I a game designer, but as a consumer I feel it's akin to going to a mechanic and them saying they can completely re-haul my engine, customize my body, install an in dash touch screen computer, and convert it into a hybrid, but they can't inflate my tires "that's very hard to do".
Thanks for the link!http://store.steampowered.com/about/
